1. Scope and Applicability
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all services, courses, and offers provided by Neruda Spanischkurse at our Schaffhausen and Lugano locations, as well as to our online classes.
2. Registration and Formation of Contract
Registration for language courses must be submitted in writing, via email, or through the online registration form on our website. All registrations are binding. The contract is officially concluded upon written confirmation by Neruda Spanischkurse.
3. Terms of Payment
Course fees are billed by invoice. The total invoice amount must be paid within the stated payment period (normally 15 days from the invoice date) and, in all cases, prior to the start of the course, without any deductions.
4. Teaching Materials
The cost of mandatory teaching materials (such as textbooks, worksheets, or specific digital learning resources) is not included in the course fee. If these materials are provided by Neruda Spanischkurse, they will be invoiced separately.
5. Cancellations, Postponements, and Course Interruptions
6. Lesson Execution (In-Person and Online)
Neruda Spanischkurse offers both on-site classes (in Schaffhausen and Lugano) and online lessons.
In the event of a teacher’s absence (e.g., due to illness or vacation), the school will make every reasonable effort to provide a suitable substitute teacher or arrange an alternative date. If no substitute or rescheduling option can be offered, the cancelled classes will not be charged. No further claims or liabilities shall be accepted.
The operation of a regular group session requires a minimum of two participants. If cancellations (e.g., due to illness or vacation) result in only one student attending, the class will not take place.
For online classes, participants are solely responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and the necessary hardware and software. Technical disruptions on the student’s part do not entitle them to any refund or make-up class.
7. Applicable Law and Place of Jurisdiction
All legal relations with Neruda Spanischkurse shall be governed exclusively by Swiss law. The sole place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising from or in connection with these General Terms and Conditions is Schaffhausen, subject to any mandatory places of jurisdiction provided by law.
